Mimeographs

I think I was in 4th grade when I ran the mimeograph machine for the teacher to print out copies of lessons and tests.

Ahh just looking at it brings back memories of the smell and operation of those. I was Radioman in the Navy and we had to make copies of messages and whatnot. Used it daily. At the time we had the only copy capability on the ship.

I remember these from elementary and middle school. Could always tell they were from that machine as the copies were purple.

Now that you mention it I can recall similar memories from the purple copies while in school.

Purple was the standard color that provided the best copy quality, but there were other colors.
